Summer Club
MINNESOTA SUPERIOR
Minnesota Ultimate organizes high school level “All-Star” teams every summer that compete in USA Ultimate’s summer club program. Previously they were apart of USA Ultimate’s Youth Club Championships or “YCC”, but for various reasons they now participate in summer club instead. Summer club consists of various tournaments around the country where teams ranging in age from high school to college compete against one another. This is a fantastic opportunity to compete with the highest level of high school players from Minnesota against other top level players around the country.
Please note, tryouts for these teams take place early April, during our spring season. See MinnesotaUltimate.org in early spring for details.
Below are the teams you can tryout for.
U20 Mixed
U20 Girls
U20 Boys
U17 Girls
U17 Boys
OTHER CLUB TEAMS:
Another option outside of Minnesota Superior is to join another summer club team. As with Minnesota Superior, these teams participate in USA Ultimate’s summer club. The difference is these teams do not just consist of high school players. Instead they are mainly college aged players. This is a great opportunity to play with and learn from older players who have played at the college level.
Please note, tryouts for these teams typically take place in May. If you are interested in one of these teams please reach out to the coaches for details.
Summer Club Incentive Program:
Players who participate in summer club not only help WBL Ultimate by improving their own skills, but also by bringing their new skills back to our program. For these reasons and to offset any potential tryout fee, we have an incentive program for players who tryout for these teams.
If a player participates in at least one summer club team tryout, they can redeem $20 on WBL team gear.
If you attend either Minnesota Superior or another club teams tryout, send us a picture of yourself at the tryout to whitebearlakeultimate@gmail.com and we’ll send you a promo code that can be used at our team store.
